Website Design & Development

Your Website Should Be Working as Hard as You Are.

A website that sits is a website that's costing you money.

It looks alright. It loads. It has your phone number on it somewhere. But is it actually doing anything? Is it bringing in enquiries? Is it guiding people toward the action you need them to take? Or is it just… there?

Most business websites exist because someone said “we need a website” and the job got ticked off. The design was based on what looked good, not on how customers actually behave. The content was written for the business, not for the people visiting the site. And nobody thought about what should happen after someone lands on the page. That’s a brochure. Not a business asset.

A website that earns its keep starts with your customer. What are they looking for? What do they need to see? What’s going to make them pick up the phone, fill in a form, or make a purchase? Every design decision, every page structure, every piece of content should be driven by the answer to those questions. Not by what looks nice in a design comp.

What We Do

Website design and development. eCommerce (WooCommerce, Shopify, custom). Content management systems your team can actually use. Systems integration, including bespoke and legacy systems other agencies won’t touch. WordPress development with deep experience across custom themes, plugins, and third-party platforms. Ongoing support and maintenance.

How We Build

Strategy first, always

Before a pixel gets designed or a line of code gets written, the strategy is locked down. What's the website for? Who's using it? What does success look like? The answers shape everything that follows. Over two decades and more than 6,000 projects have given us a process that catches the things most agencies miss: content mapping, user journeys, integration requirements, and the business logic that sits behind the pages.

Designed around your customer, not your org chart

Most websites are structured around how the business thinks about itself. Departments, services, internal categories. Your customers don't think that way. They have a problem, they want a solution, and they want to find it quickly. The design and structure are built around their journey, not yours.

AI is part of the team

We use AI across the build: content development, code review, testing, quality assurance. Not instead of people. Alongside them. Our AI tools are trained in our standards and updated continuously. The human side brings judgment, context, and the experience to know when the AI has it right and when it doesn't.

Built on platforms that last

WordPress, Shopify, Ghost, and custom builds depending on what your business needs. The platform recommendation fits the job. Every project gets a clear explanation of why that platform was chosen and what it means for you going forward.

Process refined over 6,000+ projects

Discovery. Blueprint strategy. Design. Development. Content. QA. Go-live. Support. Each stage has defined steps, checkpoints, and deliverables. Not because process is exciting, but because it's the reason projects land on time, on brief, and without surprises.

GreyboxPro

For WordPress projects, every site we build runs on GreyboxPro, our proprietary framework developed and refined over two decades of agency work.

It’s an extremely lightweight theme and style engine with 100+ pre-built components, a global style system for brand consistency, automatic image handling, and responsive design tested across all devices. For us, it means faster, more reliable builds without cutting corners.

GreyboxPro is one of the tools in the kit, not the only one. The right platform and approach are always matched to the project.

Common Questions

How long does a website take to build?

Depends on the complexity. A straightforward marketing site can be live in four to six weeks. A large platform with custom integrations and content migration takes longer. Timelines are set during the blueprint phase so you know what to expect before work starts.

Do I need WordPress?
Not necessarily. WordPress is the right choice for most businesses because of its flexibility and the fact that your team can manage content independently. But if Shopify, Ghost, or a custom build makes more sense for your situation, that's what gets recommended.
Can you work with my existing website?
Yes. Redesign, rebuild, performance fixes, new functionality on top of what's already there. The first step is assessing what you've got and telling you honestly whether it makes sense to build on it or start fresh.
Can you connect to our existing business systems?
Almost certainly. CRMs, email platforms, payment gateways, booking systems, inventory, accounting software, bespoke legacy systems. If we haven't connected to your specific system before, we'll tell you upfront and work it out.
What about hosting?
Quality hosting matters more than most people think. A cheap host with slow servers and poor security can undermine everything else. We work with quality hosting providers and recommend the right setup for your site's needs.
What happens after the site launches?

That's up to you. Some businesses manage their own site after launch. Others want ongoing support and maintenance so updates, security, and performance are taken care of. We offer both. See Support & Maintenance

Do you use AI in your web builds?
Yes, alongside human developers and designers. AI helps with content development, code review, and testing. Every output is reviewed by people with experience and judgment. The combination means faster builds without cutting corners on quality.
