The Project
Max Solutions partnered with us in revamping their old website. It wasn’t meeting their needs anymore and they wanted a new website design and development to reflect the brand rework that they were going through at that time. In addition to this, the client outlined the following requirements for their website.
- They asked us to build their new website using a specific content management system which was different from what they were using before. Essentially, we would be building their website on a fresh slate which would need to align with websites being developed by Maximus in other countries which was why Drupal 8 CMS was chosen.
- Their old website had a great deal of content authored by different departments. They wanted to consolidate the content structure in the new website in line with their efforts to consolidate their brand.
- They wanted a website that they could edit easily and where content could be created once and then syndicated across multiple places on the website.
- The new website also needed to meet accessibility standards according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines set by the government.
- There was a need to integrate a number of third-party software with the website like their Customer Relationship Management software and location services.
- The website needed to satisfy the requirements of the global head office as well.
We undertook a comprehensive user-experience strategy process to develop both the brand focussed website design and the technical implementation requirements. In close collaboration with Max Solutions and other third-party services that were involved in the process, we were able to deliver a website that met their requirements.
- We worked with their branding company to come up with a colour palette that not only meets brand requirements but accessibility standards as well.
- We worked with their Search Engine Optimisation supplier to ensure that the necessary on-page SEO elements were incorporated into our work.
- We had a much more flexible approach to web design and development using their preferred CMS Drupal which gave the client more flexibility in authoring their content.
- The old website was hard to navigate so we’ve simplified the website’s navigation structure to make it easier for their users to find what they need. The company caters to users with varying levels of literacy and abilities so the website must be as user-friendly as possible.
- We were able to launch the website on time and on budget and the client was very pleased with the results. The global head office team were very impressed with the website and said that it set the gold standard for other countries to follow.
- We’ve built a strong working relationship with the client that continues today as we support and maintain their website to ensure it is safe, secure and functions as needed to service their thousands of clients around the country.
