Creating deep connection with the community
If you want something deep and meaningful with your local community, the best thing you can do is go out and meet every single one of them, have a cup of tea, maybe give them a hug. But if you don’t have time for that, you can invite them into your world with a brilliant and evocative website that really shows your human side, your professional offering, and the essence of what you’re all about. That’s where we come in.
The Friendly Society Private Hospital – aka the Friendlies – in Bundaberg asked us to produce a new creative identity for them. What they wanted was to establish a deep connection with existing patients and staff, as well as inviting potential patients and staff in to get to know them. Basically, they wanted to look less clinical and more human, become a trusted source of healthcare information, and convey their values of friendliness, courage, compassion, diligence and wisdom.
A picture paints a thousand words
We knew design would be super important in the way the Friendlies portrayed itself, so our first point of action was to produce a photo and video shoot where we could capture the warmth and professionalism of those that work at the hospital. The look and feel had to be warm, soft and inviting – not at all harsh or clinical.
From here, we created a brand new fit-for-purpose website with revised navigation and functionality. The design was image-heavy with video embedded strategically to invite the reader in to meet the Friendlies.
Results that speak for themselves
Our client was thrilled with the end result, and they’re satisfied their new website conveys that they are the best choice for total quality health care – not just in the region, but in the broader Australian healthcare community.
Functions such as autoresponders and payment gateways make the site user-friendly and super responsive, leading to a smoother and more positive user experience.
And the social media aggregator brings all of the Friendlies’ social media channels together on the site to engage its site audience in all of its social communities.
And from the back end, an improved content management system means the site is updated regularly and can provide accurate metrics, which means the Friendlies can be agile and responsive in their service quality.
