The French Beauty Academy – A luxury rebrand
The Gold Coast Training Academy came to us in a period of transition. They had an exciting new brand philosophy, and they needed us to help them express that philosophy and turn their brand into THE aspirational beauty training academy – first in the region, and then in the world.
The key to nailing the brief was to transition the branding from the Gold Coast Training Academy to the world-class French Beauty Academy – while not alienating the current market of Gold Coast locals.
We took the time to get to know our client and understand what they ultimately wanted to achieve – which was to take the Gold Coast to Paris.
We proposed an innovative concept beyond their wildest dreams…. glamorous, elegant creative underpinned by a series of luxury, stylish fashion imagery.
Our creative and business-focused approach involved a comprehensive competitor analysis, and included mood boards and an extensive strategy document that captured the aspiration and sophistication required for the phased rollout of the new branding and design.
The French Beauty Academy – brochure and stationery
We developed a set of key goals that were to reposition the GCTA, communicate their core values and drive enrolment by developing a range of rebranded collateral.
We created:
- new branding
- a series of high-fashion editorial images
- a simple but beautiful user-friendly website
- a high-end corporate print brochure
- a fashion look book detailing the academy
- approach to service excellence.

Carpet One Membership Brochure
New member recruitment is a key driver for Carpet One’s success. To date, new member enquiries have been followed up with phone calls and generic marketing collateral..
We worked with Carpet One to develop a quality offset printed document that truly reflects the benefits and opportunities of becoming a Carpet One member. This document forms part of an overall strategy, focused on making prospective members feel valued, before they even join Carpet One.
The ‘New Member Document’ doubles as a Company Prospectus, serving a dual purpose for existing members to help reinforce Carpet One’s value proposition and how they differ from alternative franchises or cooperatives.
To facilitate this dual purpose, the document was designed as an eight page booklet housed in a folder. In this way, new member store-specific or region-specific information can be included in the rear compartment.
Brookfield Multiplex – Spice Tender
Mettro were approached by Brookfield Multiplex Australia to help design and develop a way to present their application for the Spice Apartments Tender.
The tender comprised of a bespoke made rind binder with 19 dividers and neatly packaged into is very own personalised presentation box including purpose built usb pockets ready for submission.
The box was casebound with charcoal buckram with an elegant and subtle design of fine lines that represented the structure of the Spice Apartments building which was embossed on with a clear matt foil for effect.
