The Background

La Petite Boudoir is a Townsville boutique offering a curated range of baby and children’s clothing, nursery pieces, toys, gifts, accessories and selected women’s products. The store has built a loyal local following, with a collection that includes hard-to-find and distinctive brands.

The business wanted help improving its marketing and website, with a clear goal of growing online sales beyond its local customer base.

Working within a modest budget, they needed a marketing partner who could look across the whole picture, identify the opportunities with the greatest commercial impact, and build a practical roadmap they could work through over time.

The Challenge

There were opportunities to improve almost every part of the business, from the website through to broader marketing. The challenge was deciding where to start.

Although the client hadn’t asked us to review their Google Ads, we saw them as an important part of the overall marketing strategy. With their approval, we took a closer look.

It quickly became clear that the campaigns weren’t performing as they should. Budget was being wasted through technical issues, shopping feed problems and campaign inefficiencies, but beneath those issues we could also see strong signals for growth.

Our Strategy

Strategic marketing isn’t about doing everything. It’s about knowing what will move the needle.

Rather than trying to tackle every opportunity at once, we focused on fixing the area that would have the greatest immediate commercial impact. Google Ads had the potential to become one of La Petite Boudoir’s strongest online sales channels, but first we needed to rebuild the foundations.

We resolved technical issues, corrected shopping feed problems, refined campaign structure, improved targeting and reallocated budget to eliminate wasted spend. Within days, the rebuilt campaigns were generating consistent online sales.

The work didn’t stop with Google Ads.

Insights from campaign performance helped shape the priorities for the website, while planned website improvements were designed to strengthen the performance of the advertising. Every decision was made with the same objective: improving the customer journey and creating more opportunities for online sales.

Rather than treating the website and paid advertising as separate projects, we developed a roadmap that allows both to evolve together, ensuring every improvement contributes to long-term ecommerce growth.

The Results

The rebuilt Google Ads campaigns began generating consistent online sales within days, giving La Petite Boudoir greater confidence in paid advertising as a reliable sales channel.

More importantly, La Petite Boudoir now has confidence in where to invest next. Every improvement is guided by real performance data and prioritised based on its commercial impact, creating a clear path for continued ecommerce growth.
